For 3 days, agency CEOs from around the world analyzed trends in communication and public relations, shared good practices and elected social bodies for the next year.

Puerto Rico, November 2023. The International Public Relations Network (IPRN) Annual General Meeting (AGM) brought together nearly 30 agency leaders from around the world. Artificial intelligence, new trends in marketing and public relations and the challenges facing the communications sector in today's world were the highlighted topics.

The meeting, hosted by local agency Lopito, Ileana & Howie, featured PR experts from North and South America, Europe and Asia, as well as guest speakers from companies such as Amazon and Abartys Health, among other cases focused on creativity and crisis communication. For Rodrigo Viana de Freitas, president of IPRN, “the meeting demonstrated the great potential of this sector and the importance of network communication, as a result of the growing need of customers for high quality global services”. And he adds: “The dynamics of groups specialized within IPRN, shows that more and more agencies in the network offer international services for clients and projects of greater complexity”.

During the meeting, Dubai was chosen as the destination for the next world meeting, in November next year, and the new governing bodies for 2024 were also elected. The Executive Council is now made up of five members, from five continents: Ashwani Singla, India; Carina Almeida, Brazil; Grant Wright, USA; Nicole Capper, South Africa; and Philippe Beck, Luxembourg. The new regional chapter leaders are now Elsie van Linthout, Europe; Carina Almeida, Latin America; Grant Wright, North America; Anishkaa Gehani, Middle East & Africa; and Ashwani Singla, Asia-Pacific.

The winning projects of the IPRN Awards were also chosen at the Puerto Rico Conference, where Alexandra Ruiz, CMO of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company was present.
